IROC Race Series
(Indoor Race Of Champions)
There are a lot of different versions of IROC racing with slot cars. My version is based on the prototype series. All of the cars are owned by me and are built exactly the same. They have the same magnets, armatures, gearing and tires. I do all of the repairs on the cars myself.
The IROC Series cars in the photo below are original Aurora T-Jet chassis with aftermarket camaro bodies.
How the race series works,
As seen in the photo below, the cars are placed by the colored dots on the track section. The poker chips are also colored to match the dots on the track section. The chip with the "O" on it is a wild chip. Each race driver draws one chip from a hat indicating which car that driver will race. If a race driver draws the wild chip that person has choose of any car that is left. This colored dot system is also used for track lanes. Each lane controller plugin has a colored dot. Each race driver draws one chip from a hat indicating which lane that driver will race in. If a race driver draws the wild chip that person has choose of any track lane that is left. Races are 5 minutes long.
After the race, cars are placed by the colored dots on the track section and the system starts over.

6 Car IROC Series
The 6 car IROC Series was designed for the Thunder Valley Dragstrip but can be used for any track, 2 lane, 4 lane and 6 lane tracks. One chip is drawn per driver. The number on the chip indicates which car will be raced by that driver. Once that race event or race is completed the car goes back to the board and a new chip is drawn for the next race. Most cars don't run the same, this will makes for very interesting racing. Enjoy!
